Inspired by two of our most treasured local landscapes, Dartmoor National Park and the river Taw, Moor Taw is the name of our off grid sustainable farm shop here at Westacre Farm. But it is much more than just a farm shop. Moor Taw encompasses every aspect of what we do and where our passions are rooted- incorporating our commitment to education, wildlife restoration and ethical & sustainable farming practices.
Our farm focuses on regenerative and organic farming practices with a strong emphasis on animal welfare and environmental stewardship. We believe in supporting both the animal and the ecosystem and educating the public about this.
Moor Taw represents all the avenues from our mixed natural farming practices – from our signature Taw River Dairy Jerseycalf at foot dairy products to our pasture fed Beltie Beef, our soy free, pastured pork, Lop Chop’d, our grass fed Exmoor Horn hogget and beyond. We stock a wide range of sustainably farmed, local produce from like-minded farmers and food producers.
Moor Taw is run by Sam & Gem Bullingham and along with their herd of feral children and dogs, they are wildlife enthusiasts who farm the local Devon landscape regeneratively. A lifelong dream to produce nutritional food sustainably and share this with the local community and beyond, Moor Taw is a place to connect consumers with where their food has come from and how it has been produced.
