Our cows at Taw River Dairy are the secret to our delicious ice cream. They graze freely over our lush pastures, naturally rearing their own calves and only being milked once a day. This all results in very happy cows producing the tastiest creamiest milk! We use our authentic Italian Gelato machine to combine our milk with quality ingredients and make our incredible ice creams. Our ice cream is lovingly artisan made in small batches in a range of heavenly flavours.
We split our ice creams into 3 ranges:
Classic Ice Creams that include some of our most loved flavours. From creamy Just Jersey to our beloved strawberry, chocolate, blackcurrant and more.
Inclusions Ice Creams showcasing some of our most exciting and original flavours. From time-honoured favourites like Rum & Raisin to more unique combinations like Peach and Passion Fruit. Each one includes our high quality inclusions giving each tub a tasty flavour and a wonderful texture.
Sorbets that are created using an assortment of delicious and high quality flavours. From refreshing fruits to our tempting alcoholic ranges that we have created with some of our favourite local producers.
There is certainly something for everyone.
Within our range of sorbets we have 3 luscious flavours created alongside some wonderful Devon producers.
Sandford Orchards are local makers of the most delicious west country Cider made from fresh locally sourced apples. Our Cider Sorbet is perfectly balanced with a refreshing fruity flavour and the distinctive and truly satisfying Cider ‘bite’.
Dartmoor Distillery are based on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon and we use their Black Dog Gin in our Gin & Elderflower Sorbet. Black Dog Gin is produced using Dartmoor spring water and hand forged Dartmoor botanicals making our Gin Sorbet a real treat.
TORS Vodka is crafted in micro batches in the Dartmoor National Park. With Dartmoor’s flowing streams providing an endless supply of fresh water, a soft winter wheat is blended to create a Vodka like no other. We mix TORS Vodka with a splash of lemon and lime to create a smooth and moreish sorbet.
We also offer our ice cream trike for event hire throughout Devon, great for those special occasions such as birthday parties, weddings and any other events.
